E3: Sony Keynote
Well here it is. The final E3 Keynote. This one comes to us from Sony. Today they bring us a ton of brand new games and innovations for those games. Please continue to read this post for the announcements that came from Sony today. Don’t worry Bring Back The Gamer is not done with E3 yet, we will still be telling you all the new news that wasn’t at the keynotes over the last two days.
Resistance 2: As the show starts for the Playstation 3 we are given a brand new gameplay trailer for Resistance Fall of Man 2 from Insomniac Games. After the pesident of Insomniac Games finishes his speach we are given another trailer right from the game’s level set in Idaho.
Little Big Planet: Little Big Planet is to be a “user created” style game, meaning that you will be making a lot of the stuff yourself for the game. They show the user created part of the game by giving the main character a Boston Celtics jersy and head band. Little Big Planet is being used for this section of the keynote to show sales and what they’re doing for the future. Little Big Planet releases in October.
Greatest hits: Sony has announced that later this year their games are going into the Greatest Hit form with a $29.99 price tag. Again they’re using Little Big Planet to show all this stuff off.
Playstation 2: Playstation 2 will be getting over 130 more titles this year alone. Including Star Wars, Tiger Woods, Dynasty Warriors, Sing Star, Yakuza, Madden 2009, Mercenaries and much more.
Buzz: It’s been announced that Buzz, the gameshow like game for the Playstation 2 will be making it’s way onto the PSP and Playstation 3 in Spetember this year, each one gets its own game modes.
Lego Batman: Later this year there will be a new Playstation 2 bundle which will include Lego Batman and a Justice League cartoon movie.
Playstation Network: Later this year there Playstation Network will spread across more than just your Ps3, Soon you will be able to take it anywhere including on your computer where you’ll be able to see who’s online from your friend list or even set up a match for later in the day.
Ratchet & Clank Future: Quest For Booty: For the first time Ratchet and Clank is coming to the Playstation Network and it starts right after Tools of Destruction left off. It will release later this summer for $14.99 on the Playstation Network.
Gran Turismo TV: GT TV is a brand new feature being added soon to Gran Truismo V Prologue on the Ps3. This new feature brings actual TV shows and Pay Per View shows that are all about cars to the Playstation 3. This will start in August only in Gran Turismo V Prologue.
Playstation Home: It has been announced that several gaming companies like Activision will be a part of the new Playstation Home and so will non gaming companies like Nike and other clothing comapnies.
TV / Video Service: There is a new Playstation video and TV service that was just announced. You can now download movies and TV shows through the Playstation Network and once you download it to your Playstation 3 you may put it on your PSP and take it with your anywhere at home or on the go. The new service will be available tonight and new stuff will be added every week.
Playstation Portable: Another new media pack Playstation Portable will be released soon. The Ratchet & Clank Entertainment pack for $199.99. It will include Ratchet & Clank Size Matters a Silver PSP and a 1 gig memory stick.
Resistance Retribution: It looks like Resistance 2 isn’t the only new Resistance game coming soon. A brand new Resistance game for the PSP has just been announced and this game is not a First Person Shooter, this one will be a third person shooter instead. Resistance Retribution releases in Spring 2009.
Life With Playstation: Another new service will be releasing later this month called Life With Playstation, What this is is a program for your ps3 that lets you record your games and right away put them up on YouTube.
DC Universe Online: In this game you will be able you create your own super hero or super villain and go around the DC Universe and either fight with or against your favorite super heroes.
Playstation 3: A brand new 80 gig Playstation 3 core system will be releasing later this year. This new Playstation 3 will have all the function of a 40 gig system but with a bigger hard drive. The new bundle will release for $399.99
God of War 3: Well it’s been made official. God of War 3 is making it’s way onto the Playstation 3. Sony has shown a new God of War 3 trailer today at their Keynote.
Infamous: Another new title announced for the Ps3 from the people who brought us Sly Cooper. There is no information on the game yet but it will be releasing in Spring 2009.
MAG Massive Action Game: This new game from Zipper Interactive is to push the Ps3 to it’s limits. It’s key features are, 256 Players, It’s a squad based game with 8 person squads and it’s all in one world.
