E3: Xbox 360 Key Note

Well it’s day 1 of E3 2008 and today we start off with the Xbox 360, there were a lot of massive announcements which all can be read here at Bring Back The Gamer. New games, new features ect, including the biggest announcement of the day from Square Enix. Continue to read this post for the announcements that were made today and we’ll cover Nintendo and Sony tomorrow.

Fall Out 3: It was announced that Fall Out 3 will be released in 2008 and that the Xbox 360 version of the game will be getting exclusive rights to download content

Resident Evil 5: A release date for Resident Evil 5 has been announced today at E3, the game will be releasing on Friday March 13th 2009. Also a new feature for Resident Evil 5 has been announced. Online co-op via Xbox Live and you no longer have to decide if you want to pick something up.

Fable II: Fable II is finished. Peter Molinux announced that today along with the addition to online co-op through Xbox Live. The big feature about Xbox Live co-op is that you can invite other players at any time to join your single player campaign. Fable II will be releasing in October of this year.

Gears of War 2: A brand new trailer for Gears of War 2 is shown at the very introduction of the game, the new trailer shows off the brand new human shield feature. Cliffy-B starts out by showing off a mission of the game in Live co-op mode, the whole level is basically a destroyed / collapsing city which shows off some brand new enemies and also a brand new weapon. The demo ends right before a boss fight in the game. A new feature has been announced called Hoard, this mode is up to 5 players and is basically fighting thousands of enemies at a time, the final announcement is Gears of War 2 will be releasing on November 7th 2008.

Xbox Live: It has been announced that coming today to the Xbox Live Marketplace is shows from NBC and Universal, that includes the USA Network, Sci-fi channel and NBC itself. And it is now announced that new shows from NBC are availabe today on the Xbox Live Marketplace.

Xbox 360: The brand new Xbox 360 dashboard has been shown, the Xbox 360 will no longer have blades this fall, instead you will have a channel style dashboard along with a new feature called Avatars, which are like Miis but have a little more to handle with. The new avatar system is going to start out with Rare-Ware games. The new community channel is shown, this feature is to replace the friends list by having a room full of avatars which represent your friends. There is another new feature shown for the Community channel, you may join a party with your friends and look at pictures, play games ect ect. There is also a new feature is shown. Xbox Live Primetime, this is a feature that lets you play video game versions of gameshows that you can win real prizes on. A brand new games channel is announced with a new game being shown. Uno Rush, which is a sequal to Uno on the live arcade but in a much faster style of game.

Xbox Live Arcade: Geometry Wars 2 is announced for the Xbox Live Arcade and it will be releasing next month, the new game features an online co-op mode for up to 4 players along with new weapons and enemies, the next game is a real squal to Galaga it is a new 3D version of Galaga and it will be released next month as well, The next game is being announced by Glados from Portal, The new game is called Portal: Sill Alive and it as well will be releasing on the Xbox Live Arcade but not until Fall, Coming in 2009 to the Arcade as well is South Park, coming soon for the arcade are the first ever XNA user created titles and they as well will be releasing this Fall.

NetFlix: It has just been announced that the Xbox Live Marketplace will be teaming up with NetFlix later this Fall. If you are an Xbox Live subscriber you will be getting the NetFlix feature at no extra cost, you can also share your NetFlix instant queue with people on your friend list.

Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts: A brand new trailer for the game has been shown, it shows some of the new driving features of the game which include cars, planes and boats.

Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradice: a brand new trailer is being shown for that as well which shows off the new weather feature and it shows some brand new pinatas. If you also have an Xbox Live Vision camera you can print out Pinata Cards, show them to the camera and you will own that Pinata.

Bnajo Kazooie: It has just been announced that Banjo-Kazooie from the N64 will be releasing on the Xbox Live Arcade this year.

Scene It: Boxoffice Smash: A sequal to the hit party game Scene It for the Xbox 360 has just been announced but this time there will be an Xbox Live feature involved and this one will have downloadable content.

You’re In The Movies: A brand new game that will be using the Xbox Live Vision Camera has been announced called You’re In The Movies. This game you will be pulling off your moves in random mini games that use the Xbox Live Vision Camera. The mini games inculde dancing, running and just plain thowing your arms around and all of these mini games can be put up into a small movie for everyone to watch. You can also edit your movies and send them to Xbox Live. The game will also come with an Xbox Live Vision Camera. You’re In The Movies releases this fall

Guitar Hero World Tour: It has been announced that the disk itself will come with 80+ songs for the game. A new mode has been announced where you can make your own songs and share them with your friends. Another new announcement is that the Xbox 360 version gets a REM pack exclusively, the second announcement is that Metallica will have a full brand new album in Guitar Hero World Tour and Guitar Hero 3 and also Guitar Hero World Tour will feature music from Van Halen.

Lips: A brand new singing game from Microsoft has been announced called Lips, this is basically just a singing game but there is a huge feature in it that lets you sing to your own music from your MP3 player device, the game also comes with two wireless motion sencing microphones. Lips releases this Fall

Rock Band 2: It has been announced that Rock Band 2 will officially be an Xbox 360 Exclusive title and will be releasing this September. The Rock band 2 set list will have 84 songs on the disk alone and will include a new song from Guns N’ Roses and now for the biggest announcement, AC/DC will debut music in Rock Band 2 with their song Let There Be Rock. There is currently 20 more songs that will be available for Pre-Download and the original downloadable songs for Rock Band can be used in Rock Band 2. By Holiday 2008 there will be over a total of 500 songs set up for Rock Band and Rock Band 2.

Square Enix: Square Enix has announced three new games for the Xbox 360, Infinite Undiscovery exclusivly for the Xbox 360, Star Ocean: The Lost Hope also exclusive to the Xbox 360 and The Last Remnant this title though will be releasing on Games For Widnows as well but it will be on the 360 first. Star Ocean will be releasing in 2009 but Infinite Undiscovery and The Last Remnant will be releasing this holiday season. There is one more big announcement but at the request of Microsoft it becomes hard to see what it is due to a camera angle. Since we did not get to see the video we still get to know the announcement. Final Fantasy 13 will be Releasing on the Xbox 360.
